The City of Yellowknife welcomes applications from all qualified candidates and encourages Indigenous persons to self-declare when submitting their applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Manager, Lands and Building Services, the incumbent advises on and facilitates municipal land matters for the City in accordance with federal, territorial and municipal legislation. This includes reviewing and processing municipal land leases, purchases, sales, easements and other land tenures; negotiating and drafting agreements; preparing policy recommendations and draft by-laws; arranging property appraisals, environmental assessments, legal surveys and other professional services. QUALIFICATIONS:The position requires a certificate in land administration, planning technology, GIS, engineering design technology, or a surveying technology diploma; along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in land administration or a related field. The incumbent must be proficient in MS Office Suite, as well as GIS, CAD, and ESRI Suite software for the purposes of preparation of thematic maps and the creation of drawings. SALARY:The City of Yellowknife offers a starting annual salary of $99,541 along with a comprehensive benefits package, including monthly housing and vacation travel allowances combined totaling $450 per month, a defined benefit pension plan, and relocation assistance. TO APPLY:Qualified applicants are required to apply no later than January 26, 2026Please visit the City of Yellowknife Website at: to submit your resume.
