What you’ll need to succeed as a Truck Driver at XPOMinimum qualifications:Be at least 21 years of ageCurrent Class 1 or Class A CDL with proper airbrake/manual transmission endorsements as indicated by each provinceSafe driving record and history Preferred qualifications:Forklift experienceHazardous materials certificate(s) Proper airbrake/manual transmission endorsement(s) for other provinces About the Truck Driver JobPay, benefits and more:Home DailyPay starts at $28.53Extended health benefits (medical, dental and vision)Pension planLife insuranceDisability coverage What you’ll do on a typical day:Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triplesProvide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leadsLoad and unload freightPerform vehicle inspections required under section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (if crossing into the U.S.) Truck Drivers are required to:Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.); move and position a converter dolly with an average weight/pull force of approximately 128 lbsSafely climb in/out of a tractor cab/trailer Sit for extended periods in a truck tractor and/or on a forklift; safely operate heavy equipment and a forklift Walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather) Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours, in all types of weather, while safely transporting hazardous/non-hazardous materials #PIQ About XPOXPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, with a highly integrated network of people, technology and physical assets.
