Currently, we have an opening for a Technical Product Support – Underground Drills. The Technical Product Support – Underground Drills is responsible for providing quality product support, developing the technical competencies of the customer, and internal personnel, Liaising with factory support resources to implement resolutions to application or technical challenges. The role is product focused and concentrates on providing guidance and advice on the implementation and strategies for the Underground Drills product range. So now we challenge you to take it one step further and apply What you will be doing  Develop and organize product training for sales and service personnel for the respective products. Provide technical training to the service network and customer base on proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting practices, including support for underground drill simulator training. Provide technical support to operators and service personnel on underground drill rigs, including tele-remote and automated drilling solutions. Recommend and develop product or process changes to enhance system performance and meet customer expectations. Build and maintain customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to determine and implement solutions. Actively gather reliability, operating cost, and operator feedback, and continuously relay this information to the Equipment Division Product Line to ensure offerings remain competitive throughout their life cycle. Investigate warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to factories. Participate in safety issue reviews and investigations and implement product safety and service bulletins. Monitor test results for new products and implement improvements as necessary. Assist factories with field-testing and trials of new products and updated components to ensure proper and safe operation. Perform equipment installations, project commissioning, and product demonstrations safely and proactively. Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to resolve issues. Assist customers with parts interpretations and recommend stock holdings. Visit customers to provide in-depth product knowledge, including developing relationships with key clients, and gaining application knowledge specific to the mine-site. Support technical challenges with local solutions where possible; work with factory support resources as needed. Support development of local supply chains with Parts and Services to optimize drills fleet performance. Support large retrofit kit installations (remotely or in-person) with guidance and troubleshooting as challenges arise. Support operational readiness for new product introductions (to the country and to the customer sites). Support Parts & Services Rebuilds Team with technical and product support as requested. What you will bring along   Knowledge: Deep understanding of maintenance and service operations, with a strong health and safety focus. Familiarity with Sandvik performance management processes, inventory, and sales systems. Expertise in analyzing and managing data using relevant systems. Skills: High-level of attention to detail with excellent analysis and diagnostic capabilities. Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and organization; project management experience is considered an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging at all levels; bilingual in English and French is considered an asset. Negotiation and problem-solving skills to influence stakeholders and resolve issues. Ability to train, mentor, and transfer knowledge effectively. Competence in navigating computerized systems and tools. Abilities: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Proven history of obsessive customer focus and drive to achieve results to a customer’s expectations and satisfaction. Proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies is a must Flexible, self-motivated, and accountable. Professionalism, honesty, and integrity in all interactions. Adaptability to manage change and excel in dynamic environments. Capacity to manage conflict in challenging situations. Ability to travel frequently (more than 20%, but less than 30% of annual working days) and work in varied environments – including underground. Ability to travel without restrictions globally is preferred (Europe & Continental North America is a must) Ability to work cross divisional on a Global scale. Education/ Experience: Red Seal Trades Qualification or Technical Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Discipline, or equivalent. Minimum five (5) years of technical experience. Experience working with heavy-duty equipment, and underground mining equipment would be an asset. Experience working in Sandvik or with Sandvik Underground Drills is highly preferred. In return for your passion and drive we will offer you…  The opportunity to challenge norms, intercompany and industry-wide, and support the development of a team culture that prioritizes technical excellence and customer focus. The opportunity to mentor and develop individuals in our field service and technical specialist teams. The opportunity to make an impact on our business performance. The opportunity to be part of an ambitious team, in an industry leading business. The opportunity to reach your full potential.
