Job DescriptionWHAT’S THE JOB?The General Helper is responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes.Your work will include:Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and dining areasServe customers and follow all food safety standardsClean kitchen and dining room floors and tablesClean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipmentWash pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as requiredDeep cleaning as requiredRestock and rotate desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condimentsAssist in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventoryEnsure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintainedFollow standard builds for food and drinks as per the brand standards.QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?You have a minimum 6 months’ kitchen or retail experience in Food Service Industry, hospitality environment or remote lodge settingExperience working with Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Subway is an asset.You are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skillsYou have at least FoodSafe Level I. SafeCheck basic or advanced food safety certification and Allergen Awareness certificates are mandatory. HACCP certification is an asset. You are able to prioritize multiple demands and organize a work scheduleYou are able to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
