2025/26 Spring Terms 1 & 2, Course Based Contract Opportunities, Department of Francophone Studies & Languages – Faculty of ArtsThe Faculty of Arts is seeking qualified Contract Academic Staff (CAS) to teach the following courses taught in the Department of Francophone Studies & Languages, for the Spring Session in Terms 1 & 2, at the Brandon University Campus. The courses will be delivered in an online synchronous format. Qualifications: Applicants must have successful teaching experience and relevant expertise in Francophone Studies & Languages or related field. They will hold a Master’s Degree in Francophone Studies & Languages, and those holding a Ph.D. or who are at the ABD stage may be preferred. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to Masters and are invited to contact the Chair of the Selection Committee on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials. Salary: $7,857 per 3 credit hour course. Application deadline: A review of applications will begin February 2, 2026, and the posting will remain open until the position(s) is filled. Spring Term 1: Classes run during from May 4 to May 25, 2026 with an exam period following. Spring Term 2: Classes run during from June 1 to June 18, 2026 with an exam period following. 58:FREN:151 INTRODUCTORY FRENCH I- Term 1- Monday-Thurs. 7-10 pm – Online Synchronous The course aims to provide knowledge of basic French grammar and vocabulary, and to develop reading, pronunciation, and conversational skills. 58:FREN:152 INTRODUCTORY FRENCH II- Term 2 – Monday-Thurs. 7-10 pm – Online Synchronous This is a continuation of 58:FREN:151. Following this course, students proceed to Intermediate French I and II.
