Position Overview DESCRIPTION:The main responsibilities of this position consist of transport patients, specimens, mail, wheel chairs, stretchers, equipment and soon medication etc. from all hospital services.HOURS OF WORK:Temporary part-time – 0.4 FTE- Day, Evening and week-ends shiftsSALARY:Salary of Porter as per C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement. Certificate orequivalent.• Previous experience as a porter is preferred• Must have exceptional initiative, tact and good interpersonal relations• Must be physically fit to lift and carry objects and transport patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers.• This position requires the incumbent to walk extensively.• Must be bilingual.• C.P.R.• Using AIDET in communication• Must have a good attendance profile• Satisfactory review of the Human resources file• Must demonstrate positive attitude and compliant with HGH’s values Requirements
