Shipping Processor/Boxer

JOB SUMMARY Primary duties of this position are to assist in the packaging and processing of shipments.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Verifying every picking ticket matches the order number on the box. Maintain an organized shipping environment Keep shipments on schedule Good communication skills and quick responses to other departments. Very efficient in UPS, FedEx, Purolator, & Loomis software Understanding of commercial invoices Understanding of Freight Orders Package industrial electronics and related components for shipment May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned. METRICS Package Handling - Employee must maintain standard processing procedures that assure accuracy, while adjusting the volume of work. Processing counts are measured and checked for accuracy against standard. Employee must continue to maintain accuracy throughout the month for the bonus program. Employee will be evaluated on the accuracy of the orders processed and his/her performance level as measured against volume demand. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not applicable. This position has no direct reports. EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY Introductory Review -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employment will continue Monthly reviews – Employee will be given a brief written monthly review primarily focused on quantitative performance and measurement of activity. Annual Reviews – Monthly reviews will factor in as a big part of this process along with attendance, job knowledge, overall performance and dependability. WORK SCHEDULE This is an hourly position. The schedule for this position is 9:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday through Friday with one hour for lunch. Employee is expected to come to work on time and adhere to accepted time-off policies. Employee is required to be available for additional time as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT The environment is a shipping area. Dress attire is casual but professional in a shipping setting. All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Closed-toe shoes must be worn.
