Job DescriptionReady to build projects that keep communities running? Join us as a Superintendent focused on critical infrastructure - including water and wastewater treatment facilities, bridges, and other essential public works projects.You’ll lead day-to-day site operations, direct production, and collaborate closely with project managers and subcontractors to deliver safe, high-quality projects that have a lasting impact on the communities we serve.Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and lossesProvide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks, ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needsEnsure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback for all under your directionMonitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it’s required.Inspect tools and equipment and notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed QualificationsYou bring grit, accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. You thrive in a hands-on environment, solving problems on the fly and building trust through clear, respectful communication—even when the pressure’s on. 5+ years’ experience as a Superintendent for a large general contractorBackground in Critical Infastructure (water, wastewater, bridge, etc.) projects considered a strong asset.Journeyman trade certification or equivalent field experience Willingness to be hands-on in the field and to work occasional night shiftsAble and willing to travel and work across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver IslandValid driver’s license and reliable transportationAssetsTechnical diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related disciplineGold Seal certificationNCSOAdditional InformationChandos is an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture and this includes our recruitment and hiring process. We recognize that our differences are our greatest strengths.
