Job Description:Instructors, English as a Second LanguageContract Position, Summer English Language ProgramLangara GlobalThe Summer English Language Program, Langara College, requires full-time English as a Second Language instructors from August 5 - 22, 2025.Instructors will be responsible for delivering the course as described in the SELP curriculum. This will include planning lessons and assignments that fulfill course objectives, preparing additional materials as required, and accompanying the students on off-campus site visits. The instructor will also be required to attend a preparation meeting in advance of the program start date.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree with a BC TEAL/TESL-Canada recognized TESL certificate equivalent to a specialization in TESL from a degree program.Minimum two-year teaching experience in ESL at the adult level.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a teamSalary Range/Hours & Days of Work: Instructors generally work Monday to Friday, from 9-12 noon and 1–3 p.m. Salary: $38/hour ($36.54 salary plus 4% vacation pay).Salary Range:$0.00 - $0.00 per hourPay Grade:CS InstructionalScheduled Weekly Hours:0.35Hours may vary according to the needs of the department. Closing Date:Why Join Langara? At Langara College, we support the College’s vision of promoting wellness and fostering personal and professional growth for our employees.
