Students will master the Chartered Professional Accountants’ (CPA) way of writing cases. The course also prepares students for successful completion of the CPA’s Capstone 2 and final CFE exam. The curriculum integrates topics including statistics, economics, finance, accounting, strategies, audit, tax and others into a comprehensive review of how these concepts support strategic business decisions, financial reporting, tax planning and audit practices, etc. The class work provides students hands on experience in analyzing different types of cases, from multi-subject to comprehensive strategic business decision cases and an understanding of the assessment framework under the CPA case writing requirement.Credit Value (FCE) 0.00Grading Credit/No CreditDelivery Mode In Class Job Details MAccFin Sessional Instructional Assistant – Summer 2026The following positions for Sessional Instructional Assistants are available in the Department of Management Scarborough for Summer academic session. This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.” It is understood that some announcements of vacancies are tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolment.Summer 2026 Session Dates: May 4, 2025 - August 31, 2025 or May 4, July 31, 2025Note: All positions involve completion of all course grading. Minimum Qualifications A CPA designation or successful completion of CFE with experience developing marking rubrics and marking cases. Preference is given to candidates who recently obtained their CPA designation or recently passed the CFE and understands the new CPA process.  Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. A CPA designation and prior experience marking cases and rubrics.   Relevant Criterion Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. Duties Prepare marking rubrics, marking and providing detailed comments (both oral and written) to students on case assignments, midterm and final exams, and recording the grades.
