Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist (Nuclear Medicine Technologist/BMD Technologist)Reporting to: Clinic Leader / Regional Leader Locations: Please note that these vacancies are open at our locations Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta and our employees may be assigned to one or the other locations depending upon our scheduling needs. Here are a few great reasons: Largest community endocrinology care provider in Alberta Largest providers of cardiovascular care in Calgary Work with top experienced research personnel Work with Multi-Specialty and Multidisciplinary teams High standards of operating procedures 45000+ Albertans cared for by C-health Responsibilities: · Maintain all company standards including quality of work and results, test procedure and methodology, turn-around time, confidentiality of test results; assist and/or provide training as required. · Ensure patients comfort and confidence in the competence and professionalism of the centre and its staff. · Prepare reports for the information; answer technical questions, carrying out any necessary information Demonstrate knowledge on company procedures and standards; including procedures relating to the performance and documentation of examinations, booking system reporting procedures, turn-around time, equipment, and methods used in other company centers, and the amount of training required to attain familiarity. · Operates and maintains equipment via participation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance tests. · Ensure personal development through training courses and/or training appropriately to upgrade technical skills, abilities and knowledge. · Perform additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned and ability to work in various shifts. · May perform BMD examinations. (Only applicable to BMD Technologists) · May perform radiation detection through gamma cameras, scanners, scintillation counters, tomodensitometers and ionization chambers, to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of disease. (Only applicable to Nuclear Medicine Technologists) Qualifications, Experience & Requirements: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 yearsWork Experience: 1 to less than 7 monthsCurrent and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of the relevantprovince.Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures.Maintain current CPR and First Aid certificate.Maintain competence in position by attending staff meetings.Strong organizational and interpersonal awareness & skills, good command of the English language and excellentcommunication skills, accuracy, dependable, flexible, judgement, reliable and team player, attention to detail.Ability to work varying shifts and ability to work independently as well as part of a team and in a fast pacedenvironment.Self-evaluate performance, establish personal objectives and participate in yearly staff performance review.
