Millcroft Inn & Spa is currently seeking a Jr Server to join our growing team This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team.  Job Title: Jr Server Location: 55 John St, Alton, ON L7K 0C4 Property: Millcroft Inn & Spa  This posting is for an existing within Lais Hotel Properties Limited. Position Summary: Ensures that all guests ordering food or beverages in the restaurant are served in a timely, courteous and gracious manner consistent with fine dining principles. Duties and Responsibilities:Primary Responsibilities:Provide personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunityMeeting established up-selling and sales goalsGood communication with guests and team membersEnsure exceptional service and table maintenance according to Standard Operating ProceduresAssisting in opening and closing dutiesCreate check, collect payment, and settle transactions following standard operating proceduresResponsible for cash floats and depositsWipe down table bases, dust window sills and wipe off chairsHaving a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and servicesSuggesting additional product and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferencesAssessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and servicesActively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needsSecondary Responsibilities:Keeping service and restaurant area clean of debrisRestocking of service areasEnsure dining room is ready and set for next shiftAll other duties as assignedTechnical/Managerial/Administration Requirements:2 years serving experience in a fine dining establishmentLegal serving age for alcoholExcellent organization and communication skillsProfessional Requirements:Smart Serve certification requiredExceptional leadership skillsKnowledge of local areaFirst Aid and/or CPR training is considered an assetPrevious up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an assetPersonal Attributes:Exceptional standard of personal hygieneWorks well with other team membersWorks well in a fast-paced environmentReliable, self-motivatedExcellent organization skillsConfidence in selling and up-selling products and servicesPositive sales-oriented personalityDesire to meet goalsEthical and honestPhysical Requirements:Lifting and moving of up to 15lbsStanding for 6-8 hours per dayQuestions, quoting the job title and location, may be directed to Lais Hotel Properties Limited is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
