Rapid Response Guard - Part Time - Region of Halton - Vehicle RequiredPosition Overview: As a Rapid Response Guard, you will work at various sites across Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown, including industrial, retail, healthcare, and office buildings. This dynamic role requires flexibility and quick adaptability to different environments. Site assignments are provided shortly before each shift, so you must be ready to deploy. A reliable personal vehicle is required for travel between locations.Position: Part-Time Rapid Response GuardSite: Various Sites – Burlington, Oakville, Milton, GeorgetownSchedule: Saturday & Sunday (1900-0700)Payrate: $19.00/hr.Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 hoursPosting Date: Nov 25 2025Internal Posting Closing Date: Dec 02, 2025External Posting Closing Date: Dec 02, 2025Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular patrols at assigned sites, including industrial facilities, retail stores, healthcare settings, and office towers across Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown, to ensure the safety and security of the premises.Operate security systems such as CCTV cameras and alarm panels, and promptly report any suspicious or unauthorized activity to site management or appropriate authorities.Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry in accordance with site-specific protocols.Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies including medical incidents, fire alarms, alarms, or other security threats; assist staff and patrons during evacuations or critical incidents as required.Greet and assist visitors, clients, staff, and tenants in a professional and courteous manner; provide directions and ensure compliance with site policies.De-escalate tense or disruptive situations, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain a calm presence under pressure across various environments.Accurately document site activities, incidents, and observations; complete incident reports, security logs, and breach documentation in a timely manner.Collaborate with on-site personnel and local authorities to support a coordinated and effective security presence.Enforce site-specific policies and procedures; address violations in a manner consistent with safety and professionalism.Travel between different site locations as assigned; own vehicle is required to meet shift and deployment expectations.Requirements:Valid Ontario Security License & First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerImmunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella , Covid Vaccine two doses, and two step TB skin testMust own a reliable vehicleFluent in English (oral and written)Must have one year experience in securityLegally authorized to work in CanadaEducation in Police Foundations, Criminology, PSI, or Border Services is considered an assetAble to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit testAbility to walk/climb stairs throughout the premises for longer periods of timeMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityHighlights:Opportunities for training and professional development Competitive salary and benefits package. Free Uniforms  Security license reimbursement  Dry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowance  Paid vacation & sick daysWork today, get paid today—daily pay available.Additional perks#IND4Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE The Paladin Difference starts with our people; we're the best because we hire the best.
