Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch.JOB OVERVIEWThe Project Supervisor reports to the Hangar Operations Manager and is responsible for managing customer projects. This position provides day-to-day leadership and management of the crews assigned to a project.The Project Supervisor communicates with Hangar Operations Manager, other Project Supervisors, Shift Leads, and employees. External contacts include suppliers, Transport Canada, Federal Aviation Administration, and customers.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProject ManagementHas overall responsibility for the projectReview all Business Development provided planning documents (SharePoint)Has overall responsibility for the project risk log, monitoring risks & preventative actions dailyEnsure the project Gantt chart & JIRA are always topicalEnsure that the inspection & project plan is followed, and task completion rates are maintainedLead project induction meetingsLead customer induction meetingsCommunicate daily planning and resolve issues/recovery actions with the Hangar Operations ManagerArrange & manage daily progress meetings with crews & supporting functionsPlan work with Production ControllerProvide custom reports as required by the Senior Maintenance ManagerLiaise with Canada Customs as requiredProvide alternate solutions to problemsMonitor task hours & Key Performance Indicator's to remain within project targetsResponsible for daily updating & approval of daily customer reportsEnsure overages are monitored daily and actioned appropriatelyReview package closure & ensure all agreed costs recordedOrganise and leads the post check review for improvement opportunitiesComplianceResponsible for the maintenance of corporate quality and safety standardsStrive to meet contract requirementsCoordinationWork closely with the Supply Chain Management and Shops functions to ensure material supplies meet project needsCoordinate with all functions to ensure smooth delivery of services to meet projects needsAdministrationEnsure Maintenance Customer Orders are closed within 48 hours of aircraft departureLeadershipCreate and promote a healthy, friendly and positive teamwork environment for all staffEnsure fair and equitable practices with regards to hiring, promoting and disciplinary decisionsEnsure employee performance expectations are communicated and reviews carried outWork closely with and provides direction to Tech Support, Production Controller, Crews, Hangar Support & other staff as requiredParticipate actively in improvement initiatives and promote innovation.Other/Hangar SpecificFunction as alternate Hangar Manager when requiredREQUIREMENTS Required Skills:Excellent project management skillsExcellent planning and organizational skillsExcellent leadership skillsExcellent customer service skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong negotiation skillsProven ability to comprehend/implement Business & Financial goalsBasic understanding of financial principles, forecasting and budgetingInterpersonal and relationship building skillsCommunication skills both verbal and writtenCompletion of KF Aerospace Project Supervisor trainingAbility to initiate changeRequired Certification, Education and Experience:Valid Transport Canada AMEMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a Leadership roleExemplifies KF Aerospace ethics and valuesDetailed understanding of related KF Aerospace financial processesDetailed understanding of related KF Aerospace Quality Assurance processesWorking knowledge of the types of aircraft supported by KF AerospaceWorking knowledge of Transport Canada regulations as applicableWorking knowledge of all KF Aerospace manuals and proceduresProficient in M3, Qlikview and MS Office SuiteBENEFITS & WAGEFull-Time staff benefits include (but are not limited to):Health and DentalShort & Long-Term DisabilityHealth Spending AccountPaid vacation and Personal time offThe opportunity to bank overtimePension matching plan and voluntary RRSPEmployee & Family Assistance ProgramFree financial adviceA bonus program based on organizational performanceSALARYThe wage band is Level 14, $100,400 - $125,600.
