Janitorial Services ManagerWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Manager to lead our facilities operations team. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating all aspects of our janitorial and facilities services operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational excellence with staff development while ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-time (32hrs per week) positionOFFERED HOURLY WAGE: CAD$ 37.50JOB DUTIES:Operational LeadershipPlan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations of janitorial and facilities services across multiple client sitesEstablish and implement comprehensive policies and procedures for all staff and service delivery operationsEnsure consistent quality standards and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsFinancial & Resource ManagementPlan and control departmental budgets, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunitiesManage inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize wasteOversee procurement processes and vendor relationshipsClient Relations & Problem ResolutionRespond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, concerns, and complaintsDevelop and implement solutions to operational challenges and service issuesMaintain strong client relationships through regular communication and service reviewsBusiness Development & MarketingIdentify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal developmentTeam LeadershipHire, train, and supervise janitorial and facilities staffConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and developmentFoster a positive, safety-focused work culture that promotes excellence and accountabilitySchedule and coordinate staff assignments across client locationsQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:EducationBachelor’s Degree or a College Diploma in facilities management, business administration, or related fieldExperience3 years of progressive experience in janitorial services or facilities managementDemonstrated leadership experience managing teams and operationsProven track record of budget management and operational planningSkills & CompetenciesStrong organizational and time management abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving mindset with ability to make sound decisions under pressureProficiency with scheduling software and MS Office applicationsProficiency with Otuvy Inspection SoftwareValid driver's license and reliable transportationAssetsKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocolsWHMIS certification or willingness to obtainFirst Aid certificationExperience with contract managementWhat We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits packageProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive team environment
