Position Summary:South Country Co-op is hiring customer service and detail oriented Hardware Clerk to join our team at Vauxhall Agro. If you’re passionate about customer service and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, this could be the opportunity for youReporting to the Agribusiness Manager, the Hardware Clerk is responsible for delivering world-class customer service, assisting customers at checkout, operating the cash register, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.Key Responsibilities:Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phoneOperate cash register and handle customer transactions accuratelyStock, face, and price products on shelvesMaintain clean and organized aisles and work areasLoad and unload merchandise for customers and suppliersSupport in receiving deliveries and restocking inventoryPractice good housekeeping and safety standardsEducate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-op Follow all safety procedures and company policiesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Must be at least 15 years of age and completed Grade 9Retail or hardware/building materials experience is an assetExperience in Agro or farming settings is considered an advantageStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to work well within multi-generational teamsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks safelyDemonstrated attention to detail and accuracyFlexible and adaptable to new technology and toolsHigh degree of integrity, work ethic, and professionalismFriendly, positive attitude and a willingness to learnAble to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingDemonstrated tact and diplomacy in customer and team interactionsWork Schedule:This position requires availability from Monday to Saturday 8am-5pmWhy Work with Us?At South Country Co-op, we value our team members and are committed to their well-being and success.
