The team attends approximately 700 deliveries annually and provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in a supportive and collaborative environment.About the HospitalThe hospital is a Level 2A facility with full paediatric and anaesthesia support. It collaborates closely with local midwives, offering consultative services. Candidates may begin in a locum capacity with the option to transition into a permanent position.The surgical department features state-of-the-art operating rooms (opened in 2018), fully equipped for advanced minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.Position HighlightsStart date: ImmediateOR time: 2 days/monthHome call: One weekday and one weekend per monthAmbulatory care access: For procedures such as LEEPsAcademic opportunities: Teaching and mentoring through the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western UniversityCompensation: $325,000–$425,000/year, depending on call schedule (currently 1:3, with higher earning potential).Candidate RequirementsFellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Obstetrics and GynaecologyEligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)Canadian citizenship or permanent residencyInterest in minimally invasive gynaecology or urogynecology is considered an assetWhy Join Us?Our hospital is known for its strong culture of compassion, respect, and innovation, all aimed at delivering exceptional care.
