We are looking for a passionate, experienced tutor who has a strong background in mathematics and/or sciences and can tutor high school students in Grade 9-Grade 12. Candidates should be familiar with the Ontario high school curriculum, including Functions, Calculus, Chemistry / Physics / Biology, etc. This position will be completely remote and all tutoring will be done online. Applicants should be currently enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's Degree in a related field study OR your BEd.Why Work With Us?Flexible working hours - you make your scheduleWork from the comfort of your homeGreat experience for teachers/teacher candidates and educatorsInspire and mentor students and spread a love for learningYour Role:Provide online Math / Science tutoring sessions through our online learning video platform to high-school students in OntarioObserve and evaluate a student's skill level to determine progress and work towards improvement with the help of our tutoring programWork alongside parents/guardians to create a personal academic plan or timeline for the studentHelp students in their area of need such as homework completion, getting ahead in class, learning new concepts, etc.Be able to relate to the students and act as a mentor to themRequirements:Fluent in EnglishCurrently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's Degree in your field of study or a B.EdPrior tutoring or teaching experience in Ontario is requiredGood knowledge of the Ontario math & science curriculumHave access to a computer with a webcam and a stable internet connectionBe available during some weeknights (past 4 PM) and weekendsAbility to tutor other subjects (i.e. English, French, etc.) is a bonus
