What we offerThe Systems Engineer willfocus on designing, developing, and maintaining computer systems to ensure optimal performanceofITinfrastructure. They willberesponsible for system analysis, troubleshooting, implementing solutions, and recommending upgradestohelp deliver secure, efficient, and reliable systems. What you’ll doLeading theinfrastructure system design and delivery for new systems, upgrades, or replacements.

Implement complex VLAN, SANand Network solutions at customer sites, using a variety of technologies (Fortinet, HP, Meraki, Cisco). Oversight of infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools. Continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies. Building, testing, and maintaining servers and the VDI environment.

Authoring and updating infrastructure, support, and procedures documentationEnsure configuration, change and event management processes, procedures and controls are implemented and adhered to. Readandwrite scripts in PowerShell, Python, and Bash. Provide technical assistance on windows and cloud-basedsystems andresolve operational problems. Compare,evaluate,implement new technologies, and integrate systems into the computing environment.

Provides technical expertise and assistance onlevel 2 and 3 support. What you bringDegree inManagementInformationSystems,ComputerScience, or equivalent experience. Minimum5years’ experienceinITdevelopment and/or IT consulting; oracombination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience deploying and supporting complex system infrastructures.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Windows Server2022and below, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange. Intermediate knowledge of server maintenance, release management, and change control processes. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of virtualization and containerization. Intermediate knowledge of systems availability, backup, and disaster recovery disciplines.

Exposure to SAN design, implementation, and support. StrongLAN/WAN skills (OSI network layers, TCP/IP). Bonus PointsFamiliarity with the Fortinet family of products, encompassing Firewalls, Switches, Wireless Access Points (WAPs), andFortiManager. Exposure to Intune.

CompensationThe expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply. You are also eligible to participate in Mattamy’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
