Position Summary : The Housing Support Worker supports and facilitates the daily activities of residents related to each individual’s recovery plan. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Post-secondary education related to health care or human services preferred Current 1st Aide Certification required Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Ability to be flexible to meet different shift schedules as required Ability to respond to immediate resident issues while maintaining work on long term goals Ability to provide a functional assessment of observed behavior Thorough knowledge of life skills and ability to teach same Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Implements the residential recovery plan: Assists residents to work toward clearly set goals and help make decisions based on the resident’s values (i.e. teaching and supporting the practice of activities of daily living) Organizes and facilitates psycho-social education in individual and group settings: Encouraging the practice of appropriate coping strategies Organizes, facilitates and assists in the performance of routine household tasks: Encourages participation of all residents in household routines Facilitates skill acquisition as it relates to resident participation in carrying out household tasks *See Human Resources for full Job Description Apply To: Human Resources edenhr@edenhealth.mb.ca
