Position SummaryThe OpportunityNorthern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Family Practice Associates Clinic in Fort St. John. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide longitudinal primary care to patients of all ages in a well-established, team-based environment. The NP will attach a patient panel and contribute to a collaborative care model alongside family physicians and medical office assistants.The clinic is co-located with another practice that includes four Nurse Practitioners, fostering a collegial and supportive atmosphere. The NP will use MOIS ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD (EMR) specific to the clinic and will be eligible for financial incentives through the Provincial Attachment System.Key Responsibilities•Provide longitudinal primary care to a diverse patient population.• Attach patients per the Provincial Attachment System (PAS) guidelines.• Use Electronic Medical Record (MOIS) for documentation and care coordination.• Collaborate with family physicians, Medical Office Assistants and other nurse practitioners in a collegial setting.• Participate in team-based care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.About the Community Fort St. John is the largest city in northeastern British Columbia and a hub for energy, agriculture, and outdoor recreation. It utilizes the MOIS Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and operates with a collaborative, patient-centered model of care. The Nurse Practitioner position is incorporated within the clinic team.
