This is a permanent position on a 7 days on, 7 days off shift schedule, 12 hours/day and days/nights shift rotation. This is a fly-in/fly-out position with camp accommodation provided. Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities. Responsibilities: Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work proceduresOperate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and partsFit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerancesAlign and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustmentsPerform predictive and operational proceduresRepair or replace defective partsService and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systemsMay do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a Journeyperson welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts Minimum Requirements: 4th year Millwright Apprentice certificate or Certified Millwright Journeyperson ticket2nd Trade Certificate in Welding or Pipefitting preferredEnergy Safety Canada approved Elevated Work PlatformEnergy Safety Canada approved Fall ProtectionEnergy Safety Canada approved Confined SpaceEnergy Safety Canada approved H2S Awareness or H2S AliveMask Fit TestSatisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol TestValid Class 5 Drivers License Perks Overtime available during turnaround season, vacation or school coverageCamp Accommodation Flights provided out of Edmonton and Calgary COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY With a significant presence in the construction, industrial maintenance, and turnaround sectors, Jardeg is the largest recruiter of skilled trades in Canada. Annually, we support approximately 10 million hours of work and provide recruitment services for 10,000+ people. If you’re a tradesperson working in Canada, our position across commercial, infrastructure, and industrial construction, plus maintenance and turnarounds means we have more than just a job for you.
