Junior ESA and Remediation Engineer

Description :Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Engineer (in training) to join our team In this role you will get to support growth of Parsons’ remediation technology service offerings (PFAS remediation, AFFF cleanouts, thermal remediation) and to support the existing traditional investigations and remediation consulting services. What You'll Be Doing:Theresponsibilitiesfor this position will includeproviding technical supportof our technical leadonremediation modeling, estimating,designandconstruction of Parsons’ proprietary remediation systems.Theremainderof your responsibilities will besupportingour traditional consulting business which includescoordinatingsoil and groundwaterinvestigationsanddelivering reports forenvironmental site investigation (ESA). Specificprimaryjob description includes but is not limited to the following: Develop and manage project spreadsheets for modeling and data analysisProduce design drawings and packets for assigned projectsAttend proposalandproject meetings, take minutes and advance action itemsSupportprocess optimizationsandleveragenew technology:new softwareimplementation, data visualization, database enhancements, AI implementation,formsdigitizationSupport field work forRemediationPhase I and II Environmental SiteAssessmentsRemedialplanningand site remediationoversightand coordinationincluding excavations and various in-situ methodologies with the support of senior professionalsSupportcommissioningandoperation of remediation systems asrequired.Systems may be anywhere in Canada.Over time, field assignments for installation and operation of remediations may require travel of up to 25-50% of your time.Learn,respect, advocate,trainandimprove our project processesthat may be required by Parsonsand/or clients. These processes may be related to fieldworkand projectscheduling, reporting, dataprocessing, health and safetymanagement, training, and others.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's Degree (4 Year)inenvironmental,chemical, processormechanicalengineeringor similar engineering programsSome experience in technical, engineeringorconsultingworkStrongunderstandinggeologicaland hydrogeological and chemical and processengineering principlesthat support remediation planning and design (i.e.flow through porous media, mass transfer, thermal dynamics)Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude,experience with pumps, mixers, reactors, etc.Aptitude for computer softwareand applications, includingSQLdatabases,queries, programming language,modeling,ArcGIS,Power Automate,andfluency in standardMicrosoft packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Process oriented, including adherence to rigorous client andParsonsprocessesand policies including but notexclusive toreporting, health and safety, procurement, humanresourcesand IT.Track recordofdeliveringhigh qualitywork productsand attention to detail.Strong technical writing abilities.
