Instrumentation Technician

We are currently looking for a Instrumentation Technician to join a growing team that specializes in covering equipment in the environmental, geotechnical and instrumentation markets. You will be required to troubleshoot equipment and be the face of the company when out on service calls. Position: Instrumentation Technician Location: Oakville Payrate: $32/hour Shift: Straight Days Please note in this role you must be comfortable with traveling 50% of the time, which might include US travel. In order to be considered for this position you must have prior experience working with electronics, be able to calibrate and repair different equipment that is used in environmental space. Advantages- Full time permanent work - Benefits from day one- RRSP match after 6 months of service - 5 Personal Days- 15 vacation days Responsibilities- Perform calibrations and repairs correctly, on budget, and in a timely fashion- Quote repairs, lead times, and terms to all customers and schedule timely follow-up- Support all product Electrical Inspections- Be a reliable service resource for external and internal customers- Support to the Rental dept as directed by managementQualifications- Must have an extensive electrical background- A post-secondary education in electronics technician/technologist is preferred- A post-secondary education in electrical or electro/mechanical is an asset- Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work through service manuals and schematics- Possess an avid knowledge of using power and hand tools and exhibit advanced disassembly/assembly and soldering skills- Three to four years of industry-related disciplinesSummaryIf this is something you are interested in please submit your application or send your resume to Paulina Galinski at paulina.galinski@randstad.ca Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
