For more information about the companies, visit; www.well.company,  wellclinics.ca Position Summary:We are seeking a Controller to lead the financial reporting function of WELL Clinics, serving as a key leader within the organization championing the financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal control initiatives for a fast-growing, acquisitive public company reporting under IFRS. The ideal candidate for this role will have Big 4 audit experience, as well as industry experience in financial reporting (preferably within an acquisitive organization) during which the candidate was responsible for +5 subordinate team members and successfully executed upon the innovation of various internal reporting processes What you will be doing:Oversee all accounting operations and transaction cycles, including general ledger preparation and monthly close, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal processes.Supervise and review the work of the financial reporting team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant internal and external financial reporting.Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, and assess impacts of changes in IFRS standards or business practices.Coordinate and review operating data and special reporting requests to ensure data integrity for business decision-making.Prepare, review, and optimize reconciliations and working schedules across key financial statement areas including cash, accounts receivable, expected credit losses, physician payments, and rent receivables.Lead audit, controls, and compliance initiatives, ensuring strong internal controls and coordination of internal and external audits.Design and improve internal processes to enhance audit readiness, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to the financial reporting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Manage concurrent priorities including audits, acquisition integrations, and finance transformation initiatives.Partner with business unit leaders and stakeholders to provide financial insight and support high-quality financial reporting.You have: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.CPA designation.Approximately 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–4 years in a leadership or Controller role.Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and internal controls; ASPE knowledge is an asset.Experience leading and developing accounting teams within complex or acquisitive organizations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with finance transformation and reporting process innovation.Experience with ERP systems and accounting or consolidation software; Dynamics 365 and Power BI experience are assets.Healthcare industry and audit background preferred.The salary for this position falls within a defined range and will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the needs of the organization.
