Agronomy Summer Student

Position Responsibilities:Working in coordination with our Ultimate Yield Agronomy Team and in conjunction with our local retail team, Agronomy Summer Students are responsible to assist in daily operations in a variety of capacities including, but not limited to:Customer managementRetail administrative and operational assistanceCrop scoutingTissue samplingSoil samplingAdhere to safety protocols and document where possibleAbility to read work orders Overtime and irregular hours expected during in-seasonOther duties as assignedREQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Good organizational and time management skillsATV/Quad operation experience is preferredExceptional communication skills - written and verbalFarming background and/or crop scouting experience is an asset1+ year of study towards diploma/bachelor degree, preferably in agriculture is an assetClass 5 driver's license and safe driving recordCan lift and carry 50 lbsAbility to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervisionMust reside in or close to Biggar SK
