Job description: OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Millwright (433A) to join our team at the electronic recycling plant located in Scarborough, ON. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Shift: Midday shift (Flexible schedule) Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment failures as well as perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems Perform mechanical repair & maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities. Motors, hydraulics & pneumatic systems, bearings & gearboxes. Water heating and cooling systems. Reading blueprints and schematics. Equipment installations & rigging. Welding & fabrication. · Utilize Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement to maximize equipment output and processes. Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment, hydraulic systems and pumps in a timely manner. Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PM’s and updating the equipment databases. Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and waste Qualifications Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possesses a strong safety focus · Available and flexible to work in a fast paced environment, be self-driven to meet or exceed targets and work a flexible schedule that includes planned, unplanned and on-call shifts. Skills requirements: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/ Certified Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal ticket) preferred or experience in the field. Experience in Welding is a must. 2 -3 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment Clean drivers abstract. Physically fit & able to negotiate inclines, stairs and ladders able to perform physically demanding activities while working in all types of extreme hot environments, both indoors and outdoors. The job requires bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, and standing for long periods of time. Must be physically able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs. Working in conditions may include exposure to noise, dust. Willingness to work extended hours when and where required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position requires a licensed professional committed to safety standards, continuous learning, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical skills ready to contribute to our manufacturing success.
