The NDE Technician Level 2 is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customer’s and Flowserve’s specifications and international standards. Besides, this role is responsible for defining, advising and controlling all project required QC documents. Reports directly to the QC Supervisor/Manager.This is a 2nd shift position: Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 1 am. Location: Leduc, AB.Responsibilities:Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable proceduresDocumenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) processReviewing and verify internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel with regard to Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures and/or other applicable requirementsReviewing and approve supplier’s manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and to take care for approval (when required) of these documents by the customer, his customer and the authorized inspection bodyPreparing and define test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specificationsAny other duties assignedRequirements:Over 3 years of relevant experience.Must be certified in Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant and Ultrasonic Testing, as Level 2 [CGSB certification only].Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systemsKnowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international authoritiesMust have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly and test operationsPreferred:High School Diploma/GEDEffective utilization of CMMsFlexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitudeFlexibility and willingness to travelGood interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skillsProblem solving skillsOperational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard
