Investment Banking Analysts and Associates are responsible for assisting teams in the development of pitch materials for current or prospective clients, and the ultimate execution of transactions. Primary responsibilities include:Supporting deal teams in the execution of M&A transactions, as well as equity and debt financings.Preparing and delivering client presentations.Performing complex financial analysis including financial modeling.Conducting company and industry research and analysis.Collaborating and building relationships with various internal product partners.Maintaining internal databases.QualificationsUndergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, engineering or a related field, with an outstanding academic achievement.1-4 years of investment banking experience or relevant experience within the energy sector. Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities, timelines and requests while maintaining a high standard of work.Hard-working, self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), FactSet and Bloomberg.Strong understanding of the energy sector.SalaryThe base salary range for these specific positions in Calgary is $100,000 to $135,000 (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements)Salary:Pay Type: SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
