Joining our team means actively participating in the application of sensors and instrumentation on Aero engine components and ensuring the reliability of the instrumentation. You will be involved in supporting the test requirements of instrumented engines, preparing and monitoring tests, as well as resolving issues related to sensors measurements and data analysis. In collaboration with the engineers, you will contribute to the analysis of results and the formulation of essential technical recommendations for the development and validation of engines. Join a challenging and rewarding career in Aerospace development.This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Mississauga and may involve travel.What will your day-to-day look like? Participate and review Request for test and test instructions.Set up the instrumentation (accelerometers, pressure sensors, displacement sensors,Able to set up and calibrate test related sensors.Able to set up and operate sensor conditioning equipment.Technician will be required to navigate and operate recording analysis software and do post analysis for test data quality.Support the assembly of instrumented engines.Actively participate in the bench tests of instrumented engines.Collaborate with the team to ensure the reliability and quality of the measurements.Technician should have good practical knowledge of test equipment, (voltmeter, scope, spectrum analysers etc…)The position has the possibility of travel to offsite testing locations.What do you need to be successful? Hold a college degree or post-secondary education, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field related to instrumentation.Master the principles of measuring mechanical stress, pressure, vibration, displacement, temperature.Possess a strong analytical ability and demonstrate a good understanding of complex subjects.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team while being autonomous.Have a good understanding of electronics and computerized systems.
