And if that’s you we would love to have you join usJob DescriptionApplication Engineering Regional Manager PositionSummary Description:The Engineer to Order (ETO) Medium Voltage (MV) Business is looking for an Application Engineering Manager. This manager will lead a large regional team based in Cambridge and provide global oversight of application engineers based in India, Brazil, Poland, and China.This position includes a combination of direct technical reports and direct supervisory reports with their own teams of technical resources. This engineering team will provide engineer to order MV product-based solutions that meet customer requirements. This high visibility position will identify and engage on internal innovation projects to improve customer experience, engineering productivity, engineering quality and operational excellence.Your Responsibilities:You will lead a large group with both team leaders and engineers, manage, coach, and hold the team accountable for achieving goalsYou will provide technical leadership, including driving problems toward resolution when encountering, uncertainty, or inflexibilityYou will develop team technical competencies to ensure the team can stay relevant to support our needs, delivering quality right first timeYou will manage resource allocation to ensure the right resources available to support the different needsYou will encourage collaboration across functions to achieve common goalsYou will Identify and adopt the best practices and lessons learned from internal and external sourcesYou will be pro-active in identification of high risk orders in backlog and creation of mitigation plansYou will implement and meet KPIs that impact engineering throughput, productivity and qualityYou will identify and implement process improvement opportunitiesYou will monitor project status, escalating issues as necessaryThe Essentials- you will have:Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experienceLegal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the futureThe Preferred- you might also have:Typically requires a minimum of 5 years management experienceBachelor's /Masters degree in Electrical EngineeringDemonstrated Organisational and leadership capabilitiesTechnical background with expertise in problem solving techniquesBe able to develop technical competencies in othersHigh Commitment to engineering and product quality in a high-volume production engineering environment.This position is part of a job family.
