You will be part of a driven, and collaborative team completing important projects while receiving the mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop the skills you need to build an exciting career.The Maintenance Mechanical Support Student will support the Atlantic Region Maintenance Operations Department. You will be actively involved in all planning facets of assigned scopes of work. In this role, you will collaborate internally with maintenance, production, marine, engineering, supply chain management, and external contractors, as required.Note: The application deadline for this position is January 19, 2026, at 11:59 PM (MST).Consistent with the Accords Act, residents of Newfoundland and Labrador specifically and Canada generally, who are qualified, will be given first consideration for training and employment.What you’ll doSupport ongoing maintenance activities and initiatives.Support SAP related activities.Support maintenance team in planning activitiesSupport department in annual budget development / stewardship.Create Purchase Requisitions and track Purchase Order creation.Assist in cost center and budget trackingWho you areOur ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa) Available to begin work in May 2026Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communications skills.Critical thinker and ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment.Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize.Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions.Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals.Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint; SAP would be an asset).Work effectively within a diverse team environment.We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.Education Must be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work termCandidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
