PHYSIOTHERAPIST, SPECIALTY CLINIC

We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation department.Within the context of person and family-centered care and in accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Physiotherapist for the relevant specialty clinic will be responsible for the provision of direct clinical services as part of an interprofessional team, in an innovative approach to providing timely, effective and best practice care. In collaboration with organizational and community leaders, the incumbent will also support the development of the primary health model and act as a regional resource in the specialty area of physiotherapy practice. In partnership with UBC Department of Physical Therapy Northern and Rural Cohort, this position also provides clinical education and training, orientation, supervision, and evaluation of physiotherapy students.Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region, and a hub for specialized health services. Before applying for a job with Northern Health, please follow these steps on our Qualfications• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia and eligible for membership with the Physiotherapy Association of BC.• Completion of a recognized Educator Course in the relevant specialty.• Minimum of two (2) years related experience in clinical practice related to this specialty along with additional relevant courses related to this specialty• Previous experience in a leadership /supervisory/ educator role. • Demonstrated teaching and supervisory/mentoring experience for a range of health care providers.• Valid BC Driver’s license required.• Valid CPR C and AED certification.
