2 postings to say they 16 week co-op positions The Application Developer APEX will work closely with Business Analysts to evaluate user requirements for new or modified reports and accurately convert the specification provided into high quality reports. Periodically review status of assigned tasks, consult with business experts and peers and provide regular status reports to manager. Perform the full range of programming, testing and debugging. Write units tests, functional test and developer integration tests. Design, develop, test and deploy and implement robust, resilient and secure code with following industry approved coding practices from frameworks including OWASP, NIST, SDLC and PCI DSS. Follow change control processes and adhere to internal policies and procedures. Track, and record, daily activities. Provide weekly reports. Use internal applications to complete development assignments such as Microsoft Outlook, JIRA and Microsoft Word. Assist with resolving production problems and user calls. Collaborate with other application development team members. Carry out special projects as assigned. Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.Position Requirements
Post-secondary education in computer programming or computer science from University or recognized College. Knowledge of Oracle APEX and/or experience with Oracle SQL. Some knowledge of financial and business processes. Ability to multi-task. Experience with the software development life cycle and source control tools. Knowledge of, or experience in, Visual Basic .NET programming language, Oracle SQL and MS SQL Server. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and are eager to learn and grow. Knowledge of, or experience in, Microsoft Outlook, JIRA and Microsoft Word would be an asset.Relocation Provided: No
