The FCSS Lead is a key executive leader in HSS accountable to lead the finance and corporate shared services portfolios within the organization and provide the vision and strategic leadership for system-wide delivery and integration of core financial and corporate services that will support the health system in Alberta through a shared services model, while driving strategic initiatives that enable the delivery of high-quality care and services to Albertans. Health Shared Services (HSS) is accountable to provide corporate and support services for all provincial health agencies (PHA) and provincial health corporations (PHC) in the Alberta health system. Read on for full details and apply below.Description: The Finance and Corporate Shared Services (FCSS) Lead provides executive leadership and oversight to the service delivery of finance and corporate functions to the PHA/PHCs, ensuring that operations and services align with the strategic objectives of the health system. Reporting to the CEO, this role will provide strategic recommendations and advice to the executive team and drive performance across diverse corporate functions, foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders, and implement systems and processes that position HSS and its health system partners/clients for long-term success. The FCSS Lead is responsible for establishing short- and long-term financial priorities for HSS, developing strategies to scale these priorities across the health system, and building consensus with PHA/PHC executives toward implementation and operationalization system-wide. In addition, the FCSS Lead will develop and maintain an integrated shared services model supporting partner/client organizations across the health system, including oversight and delivery of comprehensive corporate services including performance evaluation and ongoing improvement in both service and financial outcomes. The FCSS Lead is accountable for a budget of approximately $800M and over 4,000 staff, and is responsible for effective financial management, financial performance, strategic allocation of funds, and financial and performance reporting critical to decision-making with the organization and more broadly across the system. A proven record of engaging in ethical conduct.Preferred Qualifications: Previous healthcare experience or experience in an organization of comparable size, complexity and diversity is an asset.
