We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, dignity and independence of all Canadians, by providing customized care plans and solutions that allow clients to remain in the comfort of their own home.As the Human Resources Administrator/Recruiter you will handle or assists with daily HR tasks at the Branch Office, such as onboarding, and maintaining employee records. This important role will receive payroll and benefits questions, reference checks, and assist with Workers Compensation claims. Additionally, you will participate in health and safety programs and help with quality improvement efforts.This position is based out of London, ON, with regular office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.Join us and be part of a company that values your contributions and supports your growthRecruitment and Onboarding:• Collaborate with Area Director and Managers to develop and execute a solid recruitment strategy in order to meet the branch volume of business.• Facilitate the process to post vacancies in online venues, organizations and other venues as deemed appropriate.• Lead the interviewing process to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.• Develop a pool of qualified candidates for both regulated and unregulated health care professional and possibly administrative roles in advance of need.• Network through local contacts, association membership, conferences, educational institution, social media and active employees• Represent and promote Bayshore’s brand and value proposition at external recruitment events in a positive and professional manner.• Responsible for new hire administration and orientation completion in alignment with recruitment priorities.• Align with the national diversity policy and adapt HR strategies in order to integrate this into sourcing and recruitment strategy.• Prioritize recruitment needs of the branch based on guidance from Area Director and/or Care Manager to ensure staffing capacity is equal to client care volumes• Thoroughly screen candidates while adhering to Bayshore Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding policies and standards, including but not limited to, referencing, security and vulnerable sector screening (where required)• Extend offers and negotiate (where appropriate) in alignment with the branch needs.• Monitor retention of new hires and understand reasons for turnover in order to incorporate this in the recruitment/retention strategy.Human Resources Administration:•Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee human resources files.•Collaborate with supervisors/managers to manage past employee HR files.•Provide assistance with payroll and benefits inquiries.•Handle reference checks and employment verification requests.•Support the management of Workers Compensation claims and the development of modified work programs.Compliance and Safety:•Participate in the Health and Safety Program.•Stay informed on provincial employment legislation and support compliance efforts.•Proactively address Health & Safety concerns and notify supervisors of risks.Professional Development and Quality Assurance:•Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.•Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.•Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.•Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.•Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as required.Why Join Us?At Bayshore, we believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment where every team member can thrive. Experienced user of technology including MS Office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and human resource information systems (HRIS).Other Skills and AbilitiesExceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format; ability to work independently and as part of a team; competency in keyboarding and Windows software; ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning.Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.Bayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients.Dependent upon Provincial government regulations, and the position being applied for, new hires may be required to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID-19, Hepatitis, Seasonal Flu etc. Please speak with the recruiter for Provincial and/or position specific requirements.
