PagerDuty empowers teams of all kinds to do the critical work that moves business forward through the PagerDuty Operations Cloud.The Technical Trainer will develop and deliver engaging in-person and virtual training material on PagerDuty products and practices to existing customers. In this role, you will collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to create course outlines and course content, and then deliver them to our clients. The Technical Trainer will also be responsible for reviewing existing content in conjunction with student feedback, and working with team members to identify areas for improvement. The goal of the individual in this role is to ensure successful management of assigned training sessions that result in product adoption, and position PagerDuty as a leader in the Operations Cloud space.Responsibilities:Deliver instructor-led (in-person or virtual) classroom training to end-users on a regular basisDeliver engaging and informative webinars on a recurring basisAssist in developing and maintaining technical training content, lab exercises, presentations, take-home materials, and other accompanying educational contentDesign and develop engaging course content and learning activities for virtual, in-person, and eLearning modalities with continuous improvement cyclesCommunicate with our Customer Success, Support, Sales, and Professional Services teams to identify popular training concepts to develop and deliverMay be asked to write instructional content for eLearning product training coursesBasic Qualifications3-5 years of experience supporting customers with Onprem solutions, cloud and SaaS productsDemonstrated experience creating and implementing in-class exercises that incorporate real-world application and stimulate learner participation across multiple personasUnderstanding of DevOps, SRE and system administration including familiarity with scripting in BASH, Python, Ruby and/or other languagesUnderstand types of system (node) that you write a job against, Linux/Redhat, Using SSH, WindowsExperience with Command Line, Network Engineering Basics, Host/DNS Names, Basic Connections for Computers, Orchestration of Jobs and deployments as Tasks and SessionsPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AnsibleExperience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNowGeneral understanding of Adult Education practices and principlesMulti-lingual an assetPagerDuty is a flexible, hybrid workplace.
