Our team is responsible for strategic growth, maintaining facilities, upholding health, safety, environment, and quality standards, and managing human resources to support company goals and employee well-being through innovation, growth, and a commitment to serving our clients and community. We promote success and sustainability, and our team is committed to delivering the best service and ensuring our clients meet the highest quality and safety standards.Position/Term: Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)Location: Fort McMurray, AlbertaWork Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8AM to 4:30PMWhat’s in it for me?Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a competitive wage and overtime (if available). RRSP Contribution Matching Program: Start shaping your future with immediate enrollment of Acden's matching program. Employee and Family Assistance Program: We care about your well-being.Training and Development: Access our fund program to enhance your skills.Community Engagement: Participate in Acden’s various community, family-oriented, and holiday events.Comprehensive Benefits: Immediate enrollment in our group benefits plan, including health, dental, vision, disability insurance, and life insurance.Employee Perks: Enjoy discounts provided by Acden and Perkopolis.Work/Life Balance: Our flexible schedule allows you to maintain a healthy balance between work and life.What I will be doing?Install, maintain and repair Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners and ventilation units and associated controls.Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics and preventive maintenance and building automation systems.Monitor and adjust building automation systems to optimize climate control and energy efficiency.Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and system performance using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program.Respond to service requests and troubleshoot HVAC and mechanical system failures.Perform seasonal grounds maintenance as required, including snow removal, ice control, lawn care and landscaping.Perform duties as required to support complete facilities operations and maintenance.What does Acden need from me? Alberta Certified Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade in good standing is required.Alberta Gasfitter “B” Ticket required.Minimum 5 years of Journeyperson or Red Seal experience in commercial or institutional HVAC settings.Valid Class 5 Driver’s licence required.Skid steer loader certification with minimum 2 years of experience in equipment operation.Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.Physically fit to perform duties involving walking, climbing, lifting and working in awkward positions.What are the "nice to haves"? Gasfitter “A” Ticket considered an asset.Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Certification is considered an asset.Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as skid steers, blowers, salt spreaders, shovels, lawn mowers and trimmers.Acden is 100% community-owned by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.
