Total Rewards Specialist, Benefits

- Conducts research, analysis, and program design, communication that includes the management of vendor relations in multiple areas of Total Rewards, including retirement savings, benefits, expatriate benefits, disability, and employee assistance programs.
- Provides education, analysis, and other support related to Total Rewards as needed and produces monthly/quarterly/annual reports for a variety of stakeholders.
- Responsible for the administration of Total Rewards documentation (guides, FAQs, forms, etc.), ensuring it is relevant, current, and easily accessible.
- Coordinates day-to-day operational requirements for the benefits programs, liaising between district HR representatives, benefits carriers, and third-party administrators. Provides support to employees with enrollment process, queries, and claims submission.
- Supports the disability management process. Acts as a point of contact between employee, manager, HR representative, and carrier, ensuring that the privacy of employee's medical information is upheld.
- Responsible for the administration of the Employee and Family Assistance program, including employee communications and education, monitors trends, and tracks vendor reporting and data and employee referrals when necessary.
- Responsible for the administration of the group retirement savings plans and acts as a main contact for employees and HR.
- Collaborates with other corporate departments and the HR Leadership team to ensure alignment with priorities and initiatives.
- Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Provides support to various tasks as needed within the Total Rewards department.
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of progressively more complex experience in a related field.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and negotiating the complexity of the different interests, perspectives, and objectives.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of principles, practices, procedures related to Total Rewards and applicable legislation.
- Ability to anticipate, assess and readily adapt to changing priorities, maintain resiliency and effectively work in a changing environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and formats.
