These services include but are not limited to providing:Solutions encompassing creative plan design, vendor evaluation and management;Pricing and funding strategies;Compliance and governance strategies;Due diligence of group health plans;Benchmarking analysis;Redesign of group benefits plan to realign with client’s benefit philosophy;Assistance for global clients with Canadian operations;Act as intermediary between clients and insurers.Your day as an Analyst, Benefits ConsultingPerform financial analysis of insurance data and cost modeling;Prepare financial analysis reports and presentations communicating key results to clients;Maintain strong relationships and participate in negotiations with insurers and partners;Respond to inquiries from clients and insurers;Participate in calls and presentations with clients, as appropriate;Help in developing strategic recommendations for clients and participate in the development of new business;Take the initiative in the development of internal processes and tools;Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables;Assist in keeping the internal database and tracker up-to-date;Participate in the review and validation of the work done by colleagues and other team members;Play a proactive role in establishing and maintaining best practices;Maintain and develop internal technical knowledge;Participate in the training of new colleagues and junior team members;Develop and promote our company as a key player in the market with excellent knowledge of the industry;Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.Our ideal candidate Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field;Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting or group benefits insurance;Valid group insurance license, an asset;Achievement of ASA / ACIA designation of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) / Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA), an asset;Strong analytical and mathematical skills;Attention to detail and quality;Effective time management and organizational skills.Excellent technical skills working with Microsoft 365, particularly MS Excel (including VBA);Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English.Who we are Founded in 1987 by Barry F. Lorenzetti, BFL CANADA is one of the largest employee-owned and operated Risk Management, Insurance Brokerage, and Employee Benefits consulting services firms in North America.
