Role Overview/Purpose: The Utility Operator plays a vital support role in the safe and efficient operation of the gold processing plant. This position is responsible for assisting plant operators, maintaining cleanliness, performing routine tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across various departments, snow removal, offload and loading of parts. The Utility Person contributes to production goals by providing flexible support wherever needed. Primary Responsibilities: General Plant Support Assist operators with routine plant activities and production tasks. Transport materials, tools, and equipment within the plant. Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties to keep work areas safe and organized. Equipment & Process Assistance Monitor and report equipment performance issues to supervisors. Help with start-up, shutdown, and cleaning of processing equipment. Operate small tools and machinery under supervision. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations. Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices immediately. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions. Housekeeping & Waste Management Maintain cleanliness of plant areas, including walkways, workstations, and storage zones. Assist with waste handling, recycling, and disposal in compliance with environmental standards. Team Collaboration Provide support to different plant departments as required. Work closely with operators, maintenance staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow. Demonstrate flexibility in handling varied tasks across shifts. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in mining, processing, or industrial environments preferred. Ability to operate basic tools and equipment safely. Qualified IT loader, skid-steer and mini excavator Strong communication and teamwork skills. Physically fit to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in varied conditions. Working Conditions Rotational shifts, 7x7 schedule Exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals typical of a processing plant environment. Must be able to work outdoors and indoors in changing weather conditions.
