Sr. Product Manager- Tech, Delivery Promise, Fulfillment Optimization

Every time an Amazon customer makes a purchase, the Promise team sets the expectation for when their items arrive. The delivery promises we make are key to acquiring and retaining customers and influence the short and long term profitability of Amazon’s global retail business. We serve as the interface between customer expectations and Amazon's industry leading fulfillment capabilities. We are part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) Group that develops and manages systems that optimize inventory acquisition and placement so products are available for fast delivery.

Our systems also optimize transportation and fulfillment plans to enable delivery options for our customers. As a Senior Product Manager-Tech for Promise, you will identify opportunities to improve our customer experience and drive initiatives to capitalize on these opportunities. You will work with economists, research scientists and engineers to design, develop, test and deploy Promise services that evaluate inventory, fulfillment capabilities, carrier capabilities and customer preferences to return an optimal delivery promise in milliseconds. This role is a highly visible and critical position within Amazon with significant customer impact.

A successful candidate will have an established background product management with strong technical ability, project management skills, great communication skills, data science experience and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
