Every day, your skills will directly impact programs that matter.Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring for Systems Engineering Analyst on our Canadian Air team, you’ll play a hands-on role in the design, analysis, testing, and integration of complex aerospace systems that directly support critical air missions. This could include reviewing and documenting architecture and UML diagrams, as well as supporting root cause investigations. Collaboration across departments, participation in aircraft modification efforts, and presenting findings in technical reviews are key aspects of this role—along with a focus on driving product and process improvements. Experience with navigation, RF, software or communication systems considered an asset.The responsibilities and range of activities will vary depending on experience, but in general will include:Performing design, analysis and/or test activities in support of completing the project objectivesDocumenting analysis, designs and tests (, architecture diagrams, UML diagrams, tech notes, design documents, test plans and test reports) in the format prescribed by standard templatesWriting formal test cases and execute them to collect formal test resultsPreparing written test reports for submission to the end customerInvestigating system problem reports and field incident reports; perform root cause and trend analysesProviding technical support during higher level integration and qualification testingProviding technical inputs to, and reviewing technical outputs from subcontractorsInterfacing with support departments Supply Chain, Component Engineering, Contracts;Product and process improvements; identifying opportunities to improve products and services, and drive those changesMaking presentations of work at design reviews or other types of peer reviewProviding support to the software team to ensure alignment to program requirements and operational performance expectationsQualificationsBachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalentRelevant systems engineering experience with complex electronic systems or a combination of equivalent education/experienceExperience in/with:requirements development, and system designrequirements management toolsSystems Engineering processes and toolssupporting System Integration and System Verificationworking in multi-disciplinary teamstechnical writingUnderstanding of Software and Systems Engineering principlesStrong problem solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to good conclusionsEnthusiastic contributor, willing to learn, and takes pride and ownership of workIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
