Senior Lead Software Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design and implement complex solutions across our Upstream Planning portfolio. This role involves mentorship, supporting and leading technical decisions, and ensuring adherence to best practices. The overall objective is to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance deliverable quality and performance.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and maintenance of Upstream Planning solutions in an Agile environment.Establish and support architectural standards, best practices, and reusable components across the application portfolio.Drive the adoption of modern technologies and frameworksLead and support technical decisions, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables.Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline the development process.Collaborate with stakeholders, identify risks, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, ensuring alignment with strategy.Ensure proper documentation and compliance with guidelines.And other duties as assigned.Requirements15+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise solutionsExpertise in .NET, RESTful services, and object-oriented design patternsStrong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.Expertise in DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.Expertise in designing solutions for high availability, scalability, and performance optimization.Proficiency in cloud technologiesStrong knowledge of APIs and microservices architectureUnderstanding of security protocols and encryption standardsExcellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred SkillsExperience building AI/ML workloads or agentic systemsFamiliarity with LLM orchestration frameworks and agent architectureKnowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar extensibility patternsProficient with front-end technologies, React, is a plus.Proven ability to align emerging technologies with organizational goals.Knowledge of upstream oil and gas domainAdditional DetailsBackground Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and passport/ID validation.Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Canada is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
