Join us, and together, let's shape a brighter future for B. C. ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties of a Pipeline Technician 2. Drive, operate and maintain all mobile equipment used in Transmission operations work.
May be required to operate hydraulic pipe benders. RequirementsAll the qualifications required of a Pipeline Technician 2, plus the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Pipeline Technician – Equipment Operator. Demonstrated ability to proficiently operate & maintain all mobile equipment in Transmission operations work including but not limited to Backhoes, Excavators, truck mounted cranes, forklifts, side booms. Valid certificates for all applicable equipment in accordance with WorkSafe BC requirements.
Class 1 drivers’ license with air endorsement is required. Demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices on a sustained basis. Safe driving record and be able to pass Company driving tests if required. Mechanical aptitude, initiative and sense of responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Additional InformationThis role has standby and on-call requirements based on operational needs. This role has extensive overtime requirements based on operational needsThis role has extensive travel/out of town requirements based on operational needs The successful candidate must adhere to the residency requirements of this position This position has a requirement to be clean-shaven as per WCB standards.
