Aecon Energy Solutions Inc. is ready to become British Columbia's #1 utility construction provider and we’re looking for a Quality Control Inspector to help us get there The Quality Control Inspector will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the construction of new structures and equipment within their specific project. Please note this is a full time 12-month contract opportunity. What You’ll Do Here: Conduct inspections of gas meter installations to verify compliance with company policies and client specifications. Review installation documentation and ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate. Identify and document any discrepancies or deviations from established protocols during inspections. Communicate effectively with installation teams to address any issues and provide guidance on compliance. Collaborate with management to develop and implement quality assurance initiatives aimed at improving installation practices. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections conducted. Stay updated on industry regulations and safety standards related to gas meter installations.  What You Bring to the Team: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in the utility or gas industry. Strong understanding of gas meter installation processes and relevant regulations. Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with various teams. Computer literate in MS Office, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. The expected pay for this position is between $60,000 - $90,000.
