Asset Protection Specialist Full-Time

With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger. Position Overview:The Asset Protection Specialist (APS) is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, organized retail crime and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store (s). The APS will drive execution of the Company’s internal and external theft and fraud strategy and utilize several tools to minimize loss to the Company. The APS must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to and support key AP and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectivesKey Responsibilities:Building RelationshipsCommunicate with APSS (Asset Protection Specialist Supervisor) and MAPM(Market Asset Protection Manager) on internal and external investigations andphysical security within the storeMaintain an open channel of communication with store management and allassociates. Partner with store management to drive AP issuesDrive a ‘Shrink Elimination’ culture within the store environmentParticipate in the In Focus programComplianceDetain and interview persons apprehended for shoplifting in accordance with local laws and company proceduresDrive execution of store safety programs and validate compliance with company standards and policies.
