You’ve come to the right place Our Road & Utilities engineering team is looking for a Roadway Engineering Co-op Student to join and support our growing team in Toronto. Location - Toronto, ON Your role within the team: The selected candidate will assist in the preparation of preliminary/detail highway and municipal design: Quantity calculations, design reports, contract drawings and contract documents, property requests, field inspections. Preparation of proposals or expression of interest for road and utility design projects. Draft drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, based on mark-ups from the engineer or designer. Perform routine calculations and design as directed. Prepare, update and issue drawings and other documents, as directed, to document control. Interact with technical specialists, design leads and/or construction personnel. Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an employer? Exposure to Ontario and/or TAC geometric design standards for roads and underground utility design (sewers and watermains) would be an asset. Exposure to detail design, contract preparation and road construction inspection would be an asset. Knowledge of the following computer programs is an asset: AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoTurn, InRoads, Civil 3D, HiCo, CPS, MS Project. Excellent MS Office skills. Excellent time management and organization skills, and ability to work under pressure. Excellent written, presentation and communication skills.
