Material PlannerLondon ON1 year contract (renewable)$25 - 32/hrContract, Material PlannerKey Job Elements: •Provide a build schedule based on the London Master Schedule and to the associate plants, customers and vendors•Work with Scheduling, Department Supervisors and PLP to prioritize internal departmental workload and requirements•Prioritize as necessary for divisional plant location urgent requirements•Analyze and coordinate offload/onload/parallel sourced material review with SCM and Production to ensure requirements are met•Material plan internal Production dept or Process defined by business need(s)•Coordinate premium transportation if necessary•Coordinate Outbound transportation to Customer sites•Assist with inventory mgmt. and movements to and from divisional support facilitiesAdvantagesMaterial Planner London ON1 year contract (renewable)$25.00 - 32.00/hrResponsibilitiesAdditional Responsibilities; •Provide upfront status of critical shortages to internal customers, assisting in the resolution and creating workaround plans•Report out on all material shortages and status’ daily•Ensure customer has updated information in order to make informed decisions•Work as a team player within PMC as part of cross-functional teams maintaining multiple customer requirements•Maintain communication with buy & make planners, Production, CSS, SCM and PMC•Incorporate new techniques/tools into daily process•Create and maintain desk top procedures•Coordinate shipping material and the preparing of associated shipping documentation as required •Proficient in Excel and Data analyzing ( Vlookup, Pivot Table)•Work with cross functional team (SCM, CSS, Production, QA) in the processing of discrepant materialQualificationsRequired Qualifications •University degree or College diploma, preferably in Materials Operations Mgmt. or Business•Minimum 1-2 yrs previous make planning experience•MRP experience•Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word•Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task and take initiative as required•Demonstrated high level of communication and team work skills•Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Preferred Qualifications •Previous experience with Oracle•APICS certification or working towards it•Familiar with transportation and shipping practicesSummaryIf you have the necessary qualifications to excel in this position, please apply online.Questions?I can be reached at dawn.urbanowicz@randstad.caWhile we at Randstad Engineering appreciate all applicants who apply, only those selected for a preliminary interview will be contacted.Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
