You are able to perform hairstyling within 10-20 minutes and touchups in a timely fashion, working together with a Makeup Artist to get clients to the set on time. You are organized and detail-oriented with experience working in live broadcast. You maintain professionalism and discretion while conversing with colleagues. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Key Tasks:Performs hairstyling on all types of natural hair, hair pieces, and extensionsContributes ideas and makes recommendations to overcome problems or achieve desired results.Consults with Supervising Makeup Artist to determine best methods of production and materials to be used.Collaborates with the Host and Makeup Artist to ensure visual unitySelects tools and materials, and ensures that they are available to meet program requirements.Work with Supervising Makeup Artist to research hair trends, try new techniques and evaluate products.Ability to work variable shifts, including early mornings (starting at 4am) and weekends. As assigned or required, may perform any or all of the following tasks:Make necessary arrangements for hairdressingEducation Required:Requires good knowledge and understanding of television program production methodsincluding picture, lighting and design craft functions, as well as how these crafts interactwith the production clients.
